Built in 1831 by Sir Thomas Cochrane and fortunate enough to survive St. John's Great Fire of 1892, this historic masterpiece is the official residence of the lieutenant Governor. Guided tours are conducted year round, allowing guests a glimpse into the beauty of this home and its surrounding grounds, including the moat, one of only a few such moats in all of North America.
